Canada Programs

Building belonging, leadership, and resilience — one program at a time.

In Canada, Beyond Hoops Africa focuses on inclusion, anti-racism, and global engagement. Our programs aim to uplift youth, especially newcomers and racialized communities, through sport, storytelling, cultural exchange, and advocacy.

Unity’s The Vibe: Anti-Racism Campaign

An arts-based youth movement using sports, music, poetry, and visual storytelling to challenge racism and promote unity. Activations take place at major events like the Vancouver Rugby Sevens and university basketball championships, raising awareness and sparking conversations.

Hoops Camps & Tournaments

We run inclusive basketball events and skill-building clinics across Canada that promote leadership, health, and belonging for youth from diverse backgrounds. These events bring communities together through sport and culture.

Volunteer Trips to Kenya

Beyond Hoops Africa offers youth and community members in Canada the opportunity to travel to Kenya and take part in volunteer projects, leadership development, and cultural exchange. It’s a chance to serve while learning from the grassroots work happening abroad.

Refugee & Newcomer Youth Empowerment

We support refugee and newcomer youth by providing access to sports, creative programs, and mentorship. Through this, youth build community, confidence, and leadership skills while adjusting to life in Canada.
